The most memorable experience of success I've ever had touched my thoughts, feelings, and actions.

I was born in a family with no education and cannot read and write. Parents cannot send their children to college. I was the pioneer to continue further studies to the Masters's level from a family environment. Moreover, the size of village/village people, people, and families with more assets are identical to wealthy people who can continue their studies to a higher level outside certain cities and countries. For this reason, I want to prove to the public that families who cannot read and write with a mediocre economy can take higher education to achieve a higher education degree. I never asked to be born and raised in an uneducated family, but that didn't stop me from pursuing my education to a higher level.

 

The passion for learning and studying to a higher level is my dream. I want to learn more deeply and broadly about science. However, I encountered obstacles to making it happen along the way, namely the absence of a laptop or computer. I can't buy this device because of the economic burden of a low-income family that only relies on harvests every 6 months. To live, our family has to work hard and become laborers to continue living. Even so, I still want to have a laptop to complete college assignments and final college assignments.

Since entering college, I often go to internet cafes to look for information and lecture materials and type assignments submitted to the lecturer. I realized that I could go to the internet cafe waiting for free time and usually at night. I cannot stay long in the boarding house except for the night to sleep and eat. Most of the day on campus and regional libraries to complete assignments. Incidentally, at the campus and the regional library, there were several computers provided for the visitors. I have to catch up early (morning) to come to the campus library, considering that the distance between the boarding house and campus is about 1 kilometer. At the same time, it is approximately 2.5 km from the regional library. So it takes about 15-20 minutes to get to campus and 35-40 minutes to the East Lombok regional library on foot. The computers provided are not all in good condition. Sometimes if you are lucky, you get a good one, and if many visitors are waiting in line, you may get a lousy computer or even not get it at all. Therefore, you have to come early to choose a computer that is in good condition.

 

What I could not imagine until now, without the support of scholarships and side jobs, I might not be able to continue my higher education. Scholarships are one way to make that dream come true, apart from a side job to survive while studying. I am very enthusiastic about hunting for scholarships. I often take part in scholarship exhibitions and participate in every activity. I also tried to get a scholarship by paying in installments the terms and conditions of each scholarship provider to register on time without waiting for the deadline. Scholarships can help with tuition fees.

I sometimes join as a farm laborer during the long holidays when the harvest arrives. The hope at that time was that I wanted to be able to buy a laptop. Little by little, the results of the labor wages that I have earned are saved so that I can help make this dream come true. Because the price is so high, I decided to apply for a scholarship as an additional alternative. Since at that time, there was a quota for each study program to receive scholarships, the nominal of which could be 2 million 400 thousand per student. I also tried to complete the terms and conditions that have been determined. The coincidence that I have prepared the requested conditions is not too heavy and confusing. After I declared all the files complete, I also submitted them to the academic section and waited for an announcement from the campus. After waiting for about a month, Alhamdulillah, I was declared qualified to get this scholarship from the many registered students. I am just waiting for the scholarship money to be disbursed directly into the student's account without deducting a penny. From here, I feel that the effort will never be in vain.

 After this money was disbursed, I went home by telling my parents if I got a scholarship. I expressed my wish with this scholarship money used to buy a new laptop. Actually, in my heart, I wanted to buy Mukenah from this scholarship money, but my parents told me to believe what I needed for college. Mother said, use this scholarship money well, because this is a scholarship for yourself, so it is for yourself, not for the mother. I was silent for a moment, touched by my mother's statement. I have not been able to do good and make them happy who always motivate their children to reach their dreams.

In the end, I bought a laptop with scholarship money and a few hundred thousand additional savings to make up for the shortfall. Armed with this, I could bring home a laptop to my boarding house. I no longer need to go to the internet cafe to rent a computer and look for coursework materials. There is also no need to come to the campus library and the district library every morning to borrow computers to complete academic assignments. From this purchased laptop, I achieved educational projects in theses, papers, book chapters, theses, and wrote this paper. There is a sense of emotion and pride in writing this article with the items I bought with long sacrifices.
